Coffee Company, in Brooklyn NY, the oldest roaster in the country since 1840.. Leigh Ann choose Gillies because of there
exceptional roasting standards. All our beans are 100% Arabica, we order from the roaster every week in
small batches to ensure freshness, we then bag and rotate everyday to ensure you get a great cup of coffee every-time.
Arabica coffee beans have many different "origins"or "varietals" that are each named for their growing region, such as Colombian or Ethiopian. Like growing and cultivating grapes for world class wines, the quality of different Arabica varietals from harvest to harvest is dependent upon region,climate, elevation. The Arabica coffee bean is a superior coffee bean when compared to the Robusta, Leigh Ann's is proudly exclusive to Arabica beans only. Thru Gillies Coffees we help sustain families at origin, through they're participation in the ongoing good work of Coffee Kids, Cup For Education and Grounds For Health Inc. The SMBC mark of the Smithsonian Institution supports the environment and Fair Trade mark guarantee's farmers a minimum value for their coffee product.
